  1. I'm trying to use TMPGenc, and I tried every possible thing, yet it keeps giving me this error. I tried using FFmpeg to encode a single .mpg video with an MPEG-2 DVD compliant video with no audio stream, and it still doesn't work! I tried looking for answers, but I can't find a clear answer for my issue. I'm using the KSVCD template. what am I doing something wrong here?

What are the specs of the source file you're trying to open?
You can open the file with mediainfo to get the details (text view)

  3. according to mediainfo, its resolution is 720x480, the frame rate is 29.97, and its codec is MPEG2. I decided to encode the video only because I was trying to test several KVCD templates

Yes it seems to work fine, as long as the audio source is populated (ie. it was able to decode it)
