  1. When you return from subtitles, EIA or the singel various pages, the page label is "Main page".
Returning from the other pages it is "Main Page". Both words begin with capital letters.

Shouldn't the background of the stream list be white on the Main page?
EDIT: Or can the scrollbar have the same background as that list?

All the singel various pages and EIA have their elements on the left. Only subtitles keep it in the middle.
Could you move the elements also to the left?

EDIT: Apart from the things already mentioned, there is nothing else to report about v3.4.6.04

You forgot to prevent drag & drop of files into the subtitle, EIA and the lossless pages with v3.4.6.04.

Can the first start window also use your selected background color?
Then it will be less noticeable if it is visible for a very short time.

    v3.4.6.04 part two, feedback

When you quit from Scan for errors, the app terminates. Abort is okay.
You can see text from the Main page as well.
    Image
[Attachment 89027 - Click to enlarge]

All "App related" buttons does not work.
For instance: Toggel destination does not change the "Output: xy" field in the bottom right corner.

Changed lossless values does not get reset when you load a new source. Only when you close the app.

    EDIT 1:
The text "Toggle destination" is one pixel to low on the button.

Can the "Output: xy" field in the bottom right corner use the same size on all pages?
The text is two pixels to high on the button.

Preview does not work on the lossless page.

  4. MKVToolnix can take subtitles with the two-letter codes and turn it into the language name in muxed MKV file. For example the language codes en and es will show as English and Spanish in the muxed file.

Clever needs the 3-letter code to show the language name. This requires the user to type it in, since subtitles downloaded from YouTube only has the 2-letter code. It would be nice if Clever can emulate MKVToolnix.

I am not a programmer, but I imagine this can't be too hard to do. If a 2-letter code is detected, turn it into the 3-letter code. That's it, no?

Anyway, I love Clever. Thanks for making it available.

    This is already implemented.
Clever reads the 2-character code in the mux window correctly and it is also written correctly when you mux to mkv (as with mkvtoolnix).
However, when you mux to mp4/mov, the 2-character code is not written because the mp4/mov muxer requires 3 characters.
You must therefore adjust this manually in the mux window before muxing.

    > With a new source, the values are reset, if you click on the checkbox.

Sure. But it's strange to see the old values from the previous source. It's good, though, if changed values are retained in the same source. Can you reset all values when a new source is loaded?

Or better, is it possible to load all source values when you open lossless?
    ---

It would be helpful to add an info below the fields for whats to do, like "Make your selection with the checkbox to load the source value, then make your changes and proceed."
Or better "Make your selection with the checkbox, then make your changes and proceed."
    ---

The lossless progress bar gets stuck at 1% and completes immediately.
However, lossless processing is so fast that the progress bar is not necessary.
    ---

    >> Can the "Output: xy" field in the bottom right corner use the same size on all pages?
    > They are the same size, except the main page.

Please check again, as the frame is not that wide in video, audio, extract streams, batch tasks, mux, cut, join, crop and chapters page.

The "Stream index" option is missing in lossless for source files with multible video streams.

Is it possible to perform multiple lossless changes at the same time, such as cropping and rotating?
Even though something like this probably only happens rarely.

The "Output: xy" frame for video, audio, extract streams, batch tasks, mux, cut, join, crop and chapters:

The language is displayed correctly in mediainfo, so it's actually a bug in both players.
However, I will add a small function that converts the 2 characters into 3 characters.

    v3.4.6.04 part three, feedback

    Lossless:
Good that the values get loaded or cleared using the checkbox.
But you can set values for example for colorspace without selecting the checkbox. And these values remain, even with other source files loaded. They only get cleared when you select the checkbox or close the app. This could confuse the users.
So could you block all fields like New fps in Change Framerate from adding values when the checkbox is not set?
    For colorspace, crop and dar.

For that behavior, we need the longer text discription: "Make your selection with the checkbox to load the source values, then make your changes and proceed."

Without selecting the checkbox, you can input a New DAR value, and then the process button appear.

Rotate cw is showing 0 whitch is not required.

    ---

The text discription for batch scan is missing.

Could you try and increase the button font size by one size? It is difficult to read.

Did you include Scan for errors for audio files like mp3?

Open the MKV file you muxed with MKVToolnix in Clever and navigate to Multiplex.
I guess the text for the language is written in the Title field.

    Already included.

The lossless progress bar gets stuck at 1% and completes immediately.
This only happens with files containing multiple video streams of varying lengths.

I also have it with one file containing one video stream but many sub streams.
But it only happens with quick tast like multiplex and lossless.
I just found out that the cause is the first audio stream. When I mux it away, all is fine.

  17. Good idea to show the destination path as a tooltip.

Currently you need to go back to Settings page 1 to close settings.

Could you include "Audio" to the Join tooltip on the main page?

Should there be a text line on the Join page to "Use the Add files button or drag & drop."? It is only there as a tooltip at the Add files button.

A shorter version of the EIA discription:
Video analysis does not recognize embedded EIA 608/708 captions.
Therefore, the entire video stream is scanned
to export embedded EIA 608/708 captions to an srt file.

Could you add a "Delete last C" (Chapter) button in the Create Chapters Mask frame? Similar to delete last Cut Mark!
To be able to remove a just made mistake. So there is no need to edit the file.

    v3.4.6.05 nightly feedback

The tooltip for Lossless changes on the main page state "Open the various submenu".

Delete last Chapter is working well. Thanks.
How about changing "Delete last CHP" to "Delete last add"?

"Chapter start time error" window, text change suggestion:
"Please enter a start time that is greater/later than the previous one."

    Settings page 2
What is the function of "Default language tag"?
I can't detect any change in multiplex or a muxed file.

Is it intentional in muxing that:
    "Test1_short.mp4" can't be muxed with "Test2_short.srt" but with "Test1_xyz.srt"?
    "Test1 short.mp4" can't be muxed with "Test2 short.srt" or with "Test1 xyz.srt"?
So the file name must be identical up to the first/last "_" or "."?

Any stream can be muxed with any other stream, but they must be selected first.
The first selected stream defines the output filename.

The first filename check get the filename from idx 0 and all identical filenames up to the last "_".

Pls see my feedback below, and in brackets.

the audio streams tags to the language saved in settings.

Q: Did you intentionally disable Lossless/Rotate?

My mistake. The relevant streams weren't selected. I overlooked that. Multiple times!

If the default background of the "Set" column is white and chang to the corresponding color when checked, the selection might be more clearly visible.

This is not a fault, but caused by ffmpeg behavior.
Ffmpeg seek always starts 1 KF before the specified time, even if this is exactly a KF.
So if you want to cut at KF (13,000), Ffmpeg must start at KF (14,800).
