  1. Can you recommend a good app for recording the screen on Linux during a Wayland session? Something similar to OBS Studio.

  2. I only had it installed for a short time as it's not the sort of thing I'd use very often (I just didn't re-install it after the last drive format) but I recall SimpleScreenRecorder worked quite well.

    In my case it's included in my distros repository, so installing it via their Package Manager was nice and easy.

  4. I did have a quick look at the website as I assumed if it didn't there'd be some sort of disclaimer somewhere, but I could find anything.

    According to the commits, preliminary Wayland support was added October 2024, but maybe an updated version is yet to be released.

    Botspot's Screen Recorder seems to be specifically for Wayland, but I've never used it.
