  1. Official site: http://potplayer.daum.net/
I've heard official forum will be launched in the near future.

mzso, can you leave me a file link for that? I'd like to try it. I have lav filters on my system too but never used it as I has been no problem with the internal things of potplayer's. If it is an issue on potplayer's side, why not report it via dev's mail?

It's usually an issue with potplayer. And if it works fine with mpc-hc it's almost certain. Anyway changing the dts(-hd) decoder or the video decoder (to another with dxva) would be prudent to figure out where exactly the problem lies.

Everything with built in and standard setting dxva2 works with dts-hd, it was with lav filters hd audio and dxva combined did not work. Same setting in mpc and gom player worked with the external lav settings.

So if I wanted to use sharks filters I could set lav for video and ffdshow for audio and it worked fine.

  3. That's pretty strange.. Potplayer with lav filters work well here and there is no reason to use lav filters anyway if internal filters work without any problem. If you leave me a file link to test, I'll check it for you.

  4. As I said, it works well with your sample. Potplayer works well with lav filters. So I guess there may be a problem in your setup.

A link for what? The repacked version you can get the repacked from here and the original was linked by Baldrick just now.

Are you decoding DTS-CORE or DTS-HD-MA (requires external dll)

There is it's historically more reliable. I ran into issues with the internal stuff a lot more often. At one point I had to mail the author a couple times because the internal splitter was bugged and there was no way to set LAV for blu-ray files. (mpls or bdmv files specifically) After that he allowed the external filters to load by default. (Couldn't convince him to allow setting external decoders to VP8/VP9 and DV1 though)

Me, the video did not work initially DXVA, but changed the dxva decoder that was on Intel QuickSync to DXVA Native in Lav video decoder, which functioned normally, sorry, I'm using google translator.

  9. bobolinkeuphoric, the audio output in your screenshot is really weird. You are doing something wrong in your setup.

I'm just wondering if lav video is working in dxva mode too.

Disable the following built-in processing filters in the screenshot below and what version are you using? The latest version is 1.6.47995.

I guess there is another raw audio filter (maybe ffdshow) in your filter chain from your screenshot. Disable it if you can.

  10. Yes, im guessing its something with my setup. But potplayer is the only one I have problems with. No point in trying too hard to make it work, just wanted to mention it. This on the latest potplayer with the above settings.

Using dxva native just freezes the player.

What I have found out with lav audio\video is that with dts-hd and dxva copy on, the player just goes frame to frame. Disable dts-hd, and it starts playing fine with just dts. Disable dxva or set to intel quicksync it works with hd audio.

To get it to play with dxva I can start it with dts, then when its playing enable dts-hd and it works.

That doesn't mean anything. You should check filter > lav audio decoder > status tab. It should say "dts-hd ma".

(If you don't have dtsdecoderdll.dll it most definitely doesn't decode dts-hd ma. It can't.)

You should also check LAV video the same way. It should show "active". Try changing the DXVA modes, if you didn't so far. Also what kind of Video card you have?

Also what splitter do you use?

  13. I bitstream the audio, so no decoding. I was using lav splitter, tried built in with same resource. Then tried FFmpeg splitter, and it started playing and audio worked, but the pc froze after a few sec and potplayer crashed.

Im on Intel Core i5-3337U with hd4000

  14. It can be a bug. I've reported it on behalf of you.

By the way, you should have mentioned that you're using bitstreaming in the first place.

By the way where did you get this information?

Also, out of curiosity: Were you decoding actual DTS-HD MA? AKA did you have dtsdecoder.dll installed in potp or/and LAV? (The potplayer osd info is irrelevant it's wrong half the time.)

    From the developer of potplayer.

Yes, you can see the filename in my screenshot above but i have no idea why the OSD info displays DTS instead of DTS-HD.

  18. same issue with the beta, so just set audio to internal with pass through. Think I tried 4 players to test, and potplayer was the one that had problem starting the video.

    The settings used.
    splitter:lav
    audio:lav (bitstream)
video:lav dxva2 copyback, Native mode crashes potplayer

built in video processing settings: disabled.

  19. So, potplayer seems to cause an error with the combination of intel HD4000 and lav dxva2.

I cannot confirm your problem. If you're sure about the problem, it's time to report your problerm: ahahlive@hanmail.net

The problem I had reported was fixed in the version released yesterday.

Anyone figured out how to get this working? I can't find any config panel in order to input the RGBW coordinates of the display and what gamut to map to

  22. There is a problem using the video recorder(Capture) function.I had to uninstall the new version & re-install version 1.5.40688 where it works fine.I didn't try the version in between these versions. The new KMPlayer has problems too.
After i record using the new version of Potplayer, the audio is an octave lower than it should be when i play it back & the video is jumpy while recording & when playing back.
In KMP it won't record when you choose certain output formats,& the other formats record, but no video when playing back just audio.I know this is a Potplayer discussion & not KMP,but i needed to explain.Anybody else with this problem?
Playing downloaded files & dvd's play fine with new versions.
I am on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & use default settings for audio & video(in Potplayer).

  23. This is not happening here..

  24. I solved it.I did a fresh install of the latest version of Potplayer & it works fine.Uninstalled KMPlayer.

  25. Thanks for this software, is a great player
There's a problem with WarpSharp in PotPlayer x64 (Stable Version) , when I use it, the cpu is going to 100%.
PotPlayer x64 1.648576 -> Video Processing -> There aren't problems with Motion Blur and Deband and others, except with WarpSharp.
Before, when I used WarpSharp in previous versions, there weren't problems.
    Please fix it.

The following Rewind commands do not work under latest version 1.6.48576:
    ID_DVD_SPEED_B8X
    ID_PLAY_PREV_FRAME

(Fast Forwarding commands work but not Rewind commands)

EDIT: They do work, but the picture does not move backwards.

On which forum would I ask about making Daum PotPlayer skins?

Read first post. What made you think that this is an official forum? By the way. I wouldn't use "Please fix it" when I report bugs to the dev. Just because you add please it's still demanding...
