Point to vts_01_1.vob. The DVD must be not protected.

Point to vts_01_1.vob. The DVD must be not protected.
    I get the following error:
    "*** ATTENTION - No Video/Audio information detected ***

Select another source file, please ..."

The DVD is a bootleg concert DVD folder, certainly not protected.

    10. I will restart once I finish rendering a video and I'll try again with 1.

Retested, works flawless here. What happens if you point to vts_01_1.vob and answer no (to the question if you want to rip the whole movie)?
Is the vob part recognized and read correctly?
Rip is working with another unprotected DVD?

That gives a popup error saying "unservicable exception", Conversion of "0,235044" to "doucle" type is not proper. OR something like that, the popup is in my language, clicking on continue and the app starts analyzing video indefinitely.

Trying different DVD folder gives the same result, empty ripped file.

  12. Can you play vts_01_1.vob with VLC player?

  13. I suspect this is a case where the VOB files can't be used directly. The IFO files are needed to parse what the VOBs. Try VOB2MPG to remux the VOB to MPG -- it will follow the instructions in the IFO file. MakeMKV might work too.

Yes, the whole DVD plays fine if started via VIDEO_TS.VOB, or single vobs.

Demuxing to elementary streams is all I need, so that might do the trick.

I converted EAC3 audio to a DTS 5.1 audio file, remuxed it with MKVToolnix and playing it via VLC confirmed it was a DTS audio file 5.1 / playback on my computer (in stereo) was fine but when playing the same MKV file on my Home Theatre system caused issues with DTS audio on my T+A DD 1530 r surround decoder. I got clicking noises and the decoder switching back and forth between Dolby Prologic II and DTS. Conversion from EAC3 to AC3 worked fine so what am I doing wrong?? Attached screenshots of the way I set-up clever FFmpeg-GUI to convert EAC3 to DTS and AC3 as well as how the DTS codec played /is shown in VLC.

btw: clever FFmeg-GUI works like a charm and is what I was looking for for some time. So thanks very much for helping us "programming illiterates". Much appreciated that at least someone is helping us out on this one.

    EAC3 has 6 channels, so from 6 channels EAC3 to DTS 5.1 (6 channels)

You did nothing wrong, the settings are ok. The command line in clever FFmpeg-GUI is ok too.
I researched. There are reports of errors when playing DTS encoded by ffmpeg in DTS hardware
    (see here https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1754796#post1754796).
But it may be that the errors have been corrected in newer static builds of FFmpeg. Try again with the latest ffmpeg version.
I don't have DTS hardware, so I can't test it myself.

  22. ProWo, does your GUI have the ability to show the command line equivalent of what it's going to do? Sometimes I need to do something but don't know exactly how in ffmpeg. If your program does it, it would be useful to see the command line sequence.

Hi ProWo, just to let you know that m4a container is disapeared from audio container pull-down.
    Thanks.

This is intentional. The m4a container cannot handle some audio formats, unlike mka. Besides, you don't really need this feature.

    Buongiorno Prowo.
    Innanzitutto grazie.
    Buon lavoro.

You may need this feature if you want to run your aac audio with the m4a extension through extremely useful aacGain to check for clipping or add a few db to normalize using replaygain. aacGain does not accept anything other than raw mp4 or mp4a. Changing an already encoded aac file to extension mp4a manually is also rejected in aacGain.

Se è votata, lasciala vuota. Se mediainfo ti da un audio delay e tu muxi l'audio originale senza cambiarlo allora metti il valore di mediainfo.

Thanks for the hint. I had not thought of that.
I will reintroduce m4a as a container, with a check of the allowed audiocodecs.

Done, with the newest beta (v2.7.5_02_Beta).

You're welcome. I found many audio tracks get clipped in a left or right channel(or both) after normalization and aacGain saves the day or worse still is left 'quiet' after ac-3 input as there is a drop in levels and needs a bit of gain to level it up. It also can check 5.1 tracks with mp4a extension. Been using it for years on aac and mp3! Wish there was something similar(GUI)like aacGain for ogg/vorbis. Thanks.
