Hi guys,
I drove myself crazy for the last couple of days trying to get a clip from RTE-1 that I need for my work. I used practically a dozen of different programs, Chrome extensions, apps... but nothing so far.
The link is: http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10228632/
When I found this forum I thought I finally nailed but it seems nothing work for me
I tried both options posted by rteripper. With Snooper I can't manage to get the right URL's as you mention in your first post. After almost 500 lines, I managed to get this line:
http://www.rte.ie/static/player/swf/osmf2_2012_10_19.swf Protocol Flash/Shockwave Media http file
But the second one you mention, there are a lot of them similar, but none with the protocol GETmp4Seg1-F file (relative).
All of them are protocol http mp4Seg1-F file. I tried one of them, so the code in the notepad was:
rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://fmsod.rte.ie:1935/rtevod" -a "rtevod" -W
"http://www.rte.ie/static/player/swf/skin_osmf2_2013_05_15.swf" -y
"mp4:/2013/1130/20131130_rteone-thesaturda_cl10228632_10228634_260_drm_/20131130_rteone-
thesaturda_cl10228632_10228634_260_drm__512k.mp4" -o "short.flv"
I saved the .bat, double click but nothing downloading...
Regarding using the "rtmExplorer", unfortunately is not working either. With the original link, I play the clip and nothing happens.
When I put the other version of the link, http://www.rte.ie/playerxl/#v=10228632, a soon as it plays the Ads, when it suppose to begins the show, the clip just stop. There is a video file in the rtmExplorer folder of a few kbs, so that means it downloads something but not properly.
I would appreciate if someone can help me out here, please.
Thanks and regards. -

how to play 1024k stream i have no idea but download (HDS)
example you need to use Adobe HDS or TubeDigger or GetFLV
Code:http://vod.hds.rasset.ie/hds-vod/2013/1130/adaptive/20131130_rteone-thesaturda_cl10228632_10228634_260_drm_/20131130_rteone-thesaturda_cl10228632_10228634_260_drm__1024k.mp4.f4m

CristianoA, you are a lifesaver, man!
Thank you so much for your help. In 1024k was a perfect touch, definitely. Great quality
Cheers! -
Greetings all. I've tried all of the methods posted in this thread with no joy. I need the code for the video at http://www.rte.ie/tv/latelate/20110527.html Thanks for any help with this.
-
Yup, this is what happens to me. URL Snooper just gets packet after packet, yet no url except for the 460 SWF player itself. GETFLV starts to get the video, but always stops after a minute or so. I tried imputing 2966916 (that's the number that is shown when you mouse over the 'watch full show' link) along with the rte.ie player link into RTMPExplorer but it said invalid link. So I'm at a loss here.
ETA - Well it also appears that RTE.ie is down at the moment for some reason. 504 error with or without proxy. Hmm.Last edited by Pitboss; 11th Dec 2013 at 23:26.

Watch the newest Irish shows via streaming RTE player and the TV3 player from any part of the world. With the Irish Proxy Server, you at the present have full right to use the content from TV3, TV4, TnG , Eircom, and RTE from outside of Ireland. For ultimate access you need Irish IP from a VPN provider that offers compatibility with RTE player.
I personally used PureVPN For RTE and find it great in serving RTE purpose. I am very happy with the service and strongly suggest the same to other users of RTE player outside Ireland. -

Cheers, CristianoA! You've just made my roommate very happy, though she doesn't know it yet. We're both huge Neil Diamond fans, and I can't wait to show her this interview on our big screen.

Hi,
I have tried to download the following video (http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10233869/) -1024k version, but cant get it to work, even with the suggestion by others on the forum.
Using rtmpdump, it gives a cmd window for 1 sec and is gone, nothing is downloaded.
Using rtmpexplorer, I let it run after the commercials, but nothing gets downloaded into the rtmpexplorer folder.
Any suggestions/help anybody can give?
Thanks guys. -
Hi CristianoA, if I click the
(http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10233869/) url, I am getting content. Or are you refering to something else? -

Hi folks,
Is 1024k available for all streams? If it is then is it just a matter of changing the __512k.mp4 to __1024k.mp4?
Cheers,

Hi. I've tried using the snooper, but just can't seem to get a download link for this show (Six One news - there's a clip I in it that i'd highly appreciate having) on RTE: http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10250659/
I don't suppose there's any chance someone could help me? The problem with the snooper is it doesn't seem to show up the right links. -
They seem to have switched to segmented http Adobe recently, so it's not rtmp type anymore. Try to find .f4m link and use AdobeHDS Downloader. Firefox AdobeHDS plugin (which writes detailed script for php.exe) worked for me the last time I checked.
