The last couple times I tried to join 2 AVI files, it cut out the last 20 min to half hour of the 2nd AVI. Can anyone help me out, or suggest another program to join video files for the mac. Any help is appreciated!

There is apparently an ffmpegx bug that fails to join files that would make a file of larger than 1GB; search the forum for the discussion. I've consequently used D-Vision 3, from www.objectifmac.com, but one needs to read techical French to understand the manual. However, I could use it without a problem.

The behavior I've noticed is pretty odd: After joining two AVI files (DivX) I get one large file, larger than 1GB, which has exactly the problem that you describe -- but only in QuickTime apps (QT Player, Toast, etc). NOT in VLC. VLC plays it all the way through. Strange, huh?
