    is there something albeitly wrong with joining two avi files, when ever i do it i either get a movie where the voices speed up and down every sop often, or when its complete a file that saysits done but only has the first half of the movie...whats up with that?....holla back

    Sounds like VBR audio to me.

    To merge 2 files, they must have:

    1) The same codec/codec version for video
    2) Exactly same FPS (29.970 and 27.971 are not the same, this applies to captures mainly)
    3) Same Audio codec for both
    4) Same Audio bitrate for both (VBR may join, may not)
    5) Video's msut be exactly the same resolutions
    6) Headers must match exactly (you can specify a DivX file several ways, depending on codec version and encoding software, use GSPOT)

    stupid repl, but does virtual allow you to join avi files in its program......holla back
