CBS/Paramount uses chromecdm with browser, of course wvp2 doesn't work with regular l3
Devine/VT and others uses android endpoint which l3 would be enough

May be, for netflix it is normal and working.
In fastevo's case WidevineProxy2 Extension gives keys, that looks as right, but it can't decrypt video.
Try and you'll see.
I don't understand what is wrong with these keys, and I still need some help in this question.

Great extension, very robust. Occasionally it will retrieve multiple keys, often easy enough to match, but sometimes seemingly random. Also on some sites it will retrieve PSSH and keys without generating a command. I can't tell if these are dynamic keys or session-specific, but they appear to be valid while only partially decrypting the stream. I've also run into "hidden" MPD's in the form of manifest.json, these seem to relate to different "periods" (i.e. pre-roll branding segments before the main feature), which I haven't been able to solve. The result is that (on a site like philo.com, for example), I end up with a 3.5GB file that only plays for 4 seconds (1 segment, I guess). Has anyone else come across similar difficulties or solutions to them?

This is a terrific tool and I want to say thank you to larley for making this program and improving it over time. How I use it beyond getting it set up in Firefox as a Browser Extension is I have a folder that I named N_m3u8DL-RE and it it I have N_m3u8DL-RE, FFMPEG, shaka-packer, mkvmerge and CCExtractor. As before WidevineProxy I learned how to work with N_m3u8DL-RE and I have a thread about that in the video downloading forum.

Well anyway what I do is I go that folder and go the address bar and erase what is in there and type cmd. This launches N_m3u8DL-RE for me. I use WidevineProxy to get the N_m3u8DL-RE code and select that and copy and then I paste that into my dark window and press enter and then I sometimes just go with what is selected or select another resolution. This works for me.

However I have a friend and he does things differently and I need some guidance for him. He does a lot with putting various programs into the System Path and understand variables. So he has something like C:mp3: downloader from what I recall. He has N_m3u8DL-RE set up in system variables and that is something that I don't have much of an understanding of. He was able to get WidewineProxy2 set up even with a .wvd file. It is just this how to paste this into his N_m3u8DL-RE.

So how does he call up N_m3u8DL-RE? This is his first foray into DRM decryption and such and I have reached the end of my skill set. I am glad I was able to help him get WidevineProxy2 installed but I just can't seem to be able to give the proper instructions on how to get him the rest of the way of getting a video downloaded to archive and to watch.

Even if it seems like a dolt please give me advice regardless and thank you in advance. I will send him a link to what is posted and know that he and I are both grateful for all guidance that is given.

Also a question for myself in WidevineProxy2 itself in the section that is about KEYS, I always have to use a scroll bar along the right side to get down to the CMD line and my friend seem to have it all on display in the screen grab he sent me. If there is some setting that would rid me of that scroll bar I sure wouldn't mind it though obviously I have survived with doing the scrolling and once again this is a terrific program and I use it very often. Thank you in advance for any advice. Maybe if I could hide that remote CDM section it would give me more room. I use the Widevine Device method.
