YT-DLP is currently working for CBC Gem. Here is a link to a thread:

Is there a way to automatically switch CDM's if I have multiple? Or maybe a way to generate a new one when needed?

Is this still the case?
if so is the error with 3.3.3
HTML Code:ConnectionError: Failed to request the M3U(8) document.

Browser and script use different endpoints, and the higher up you go in quality the more restricted they become. Of all the services I've tried, iPlayer definitely has the most aggressive proxy detection. If it helps, I've had best luck with windscribe when it comes to VPN.

For once, a streaming service made changes that actually makes it easier for us to get better quality. That's a first
Looks like DRM protected content is still stuck at 720p, though. At least for free users. If anyone with a premium subscription can confirm or deny this, that'd be great.

I also forgot to mention I've added ABC iView to the repo, and a small note to the README regarding shaka-packager:

Yes, it's supported. But whether they are listed or not depends on if they are available in the manifest or if the service code you're using has those tracks added. For freevee/amazon specifically, you need to add that information manually in the code if they don't show up.
Since amazon use SDH as type for CC subtitles, that's what I personally use.

That's not really possible, I'm afraid. My code is pretty specific to my own environment. But if you have any contact with whoever wrote your service code, tell them that subtitles and their type can be found in the playback response and that they can be added as Subtitle tracks. There, you'll be able to specify SDH, CC, Forced etc.
A generic example:
Code:for sub in subtitles: tracks.add( Subtitle( id_= # unique id, url= # subtitle URL, codec= # subtitle codec, language= # language code, forced= # True or False taken from sub["displayName"], sdh= # True or False taken from sub["type"] ) )

All right, I have a working CBC service with 1080p, DDP5.1:

There are a few of caveats, though:
1. CCExtractor will fail to extract the subtitles, which in turn will cause the entire process to fail. And I can't find any way to "turn it off", so to speak, without going into the Devine source code. I honestly have no idea why using it wasn't made optional, but it is what it is. The fix is as easy as changing one line of code in `devine/core/tracks.video.py`, but I'm not a fan of publishing code that won't work out of the box. And making this change *might* cause issues for other services in turn.
2. The audio stream for 5.1 contains some invalid data, which will cause mkvmerge to cough up a few warnings. It still works fine, but worth mentioning.
3. It currently does not work with the N_m3u8DL-RE branch, and I have no clue why. Default downloaders work fine.
4. DRM protected content seems limited to 720p no matter what.
Like I said, I really don't like putting out code that require users to mess around with the source code. But if people are still interested, I guess I can upload it with instructions in the help text. Let me know. -
Thank you for making a CBC Service for Devine. As for the 720p limit; a thing to remember about CBC and why I limit my downloads to 540p is that beyond that the files are way to big in size that they would eat up my hard drive space very quickly. I notice that a 44 minute episode on CBC is 631 mb at 540p and you go to 720p it can be over a gigabite per 44 minute episode. Something I am noticing is that all the episodes I have downloaded in my YT-DLP folder shows 44:10 and 631 mb and that makes me think CBC encodes for a certain size not for a certain quality factor. See when I do an encode of my own I use Vidcoder and go for a CF of 20 or 18 and that means if the video has a lot of action that the encoder gives what is need and if you have scenes that don't have as much action it gives you what is needed so the file sizes vary.

I would be interested please.
Weird that CCExtractor will fail to extract subs as that's its almost singular role in life.
The arguments I use to extract subs from CBC shows are as follows.
Code:ccextractorwinfull.exe "%video%" -autoprogram -trim --norollup -out=webvtt-full
