Greetings! I'm very much a newbie and many years ago I used Nero for video editing and liked it, but am not sure how much its changed to where I may not like it now.
I'm going to be cutting/pasting/rearranging/inserting many frames within under 5 minute mp4 videos. I want to be able to:
-left click on a frame and drag it to another spot
-highlight multiple frames and right click to cut/copy to move them to another location
-adjust down to a low number of frames per second when needed
-have multiple videos up for editing at the same time
I never got to try Windows, but I understand they discontinued it. At this point I'm not looking for many features at all, just something simple and easy.

simple edits and cuts I'd say LosslessCut
for a tad more advanced and multiple videos Shotcut
both apps are multiplatform and GPL free.
