  1. Hi there I am wondering if there is a newer and better program than abcavi. I want to remove some tags present in some of the videos I've downloaded because the names appear different when streaming to the xbox using the system video player... So yeah is there a newer or better program than abcavi that works?

(Abcavi wouldn't work for me for some reason)

  3. Avi Demux and Virtual Dub are not the same types of programs lol... I need a program that is better than abcavi... (abcavi allows editing of avi metadata eg. comment)

I see... but I don't need to remux I just need to edit AVI metadata and remove annoying tags lol... Abcavi can achieve this but it doesn't work for some reason because it is old...

If you're on Windows Seven or Vista, at least try to run the program under the XP-compatibility mode. If even this suggestion doesn't work, then just forget Abcavi + ffmpeg + VirtualDub, and learn to hex-edit your problematic AVI files

  8. ExifTool GUI for Windows might be worth a try,.. iirc it should work for avi files too
TigoTago (http://tigotago.com) might also be worth, checking out (I have never used it)

FYI this version is quite outdated and the latest version can be found here:
    http://u88.n24.queensu.ca/~bogdan/

ExifTool executable needs to be renamed, read carefully the "Requirements and preparations".

Although I have no idea if it's working with AVI files as I haven't tried yet

Okay I got the program setup with the Gui and I clicked on the video that I want to change the metadata of. How do I actually change the metadata? I tried clicking "exifTool direct" but it tells me to enter in a command line which of curse I do not know... I have also tried double clicking on the metadata I want to change and this does nothing... Any ideas?
