Virtualdub error help

Hey everyone,

Im trying to edit game footage into one avi file but Im having a problem. I had to slightly edit the last video so it saved as a wmv. I converted it to avi with WinFF because virtualdub wouldn't let me add the file type. But now Im getting the error message:

Stop using WMV....it's crap.
And AVI is a container.
What KIND of AVI?

Which codec/type use when convert AVI? Because, VirtualDub cannot perceive this codec.

You didn't answer the question. What knd of AVI? Which codec does the source AVI use? Use the free MediaInfo utility and post text from its report.
