AVStoDVD limit the number of chapters/titles in Menu

I have just started using AVStoDVD to auther dvds. I use the latest version of AVS2DVD.
I recently bought a HD camcorder which produces many..100+ .mts files. If I add all the files to AVS.. and run authoring..I see two problems:

1. the menu wizard creates many pages with one 16+ tiny menu items on each page. Can I create chapters by time interval? e.g say every 15 mins or 20 mins, Or is there any hack to get only say 4-5 chapters for the entire recording in one single page?

2. I seem to be running into some upper threshold which says that it cannot handle more than x or so titles. Can I tweak something to remove this upper thershold?

AVStoDVD limit the number of chapters/titles in Menu

Actually it's not AVStoDVD thats makes the limit - it's inherited to the structure of a video DVD.

Take a look at this:

So, your DVD may have up to 99 Titleset (VTS) - each having up to 99 Titles (.mts files) - with each Title having an (practically) infinitely number of chapters.

However, AVStoDVD creates one Titleset for each of your .mts file with that file as the only Title within the Titleset - which limits you to 99 input files.

What you could do is to use something like tsMuxeR to join your 100+ .mts files into 4-5 files (or you could use an authoring program that handles more than one Title in a Titleset like DVDStyler).

And should you want chapters within these 4-5 Titles press Ctrl+E änd select the "Chapters" tab.

Anything that can be done with AVSToDVD to limit the number of chapters in the menu..I get like 7-8 pages of menu with 20+ chapters in each. I woul;d ideally like to get 15 min interval chapters form all the MTS files I add.

videobruger' suggestion is valid:

1. join all the mts files you have with tsMuxer
2. open AVStoDVD and go to 'Preferences'/'AuthoringBurning'. Select 15 min for chapters interval
3. add the big clip previously created
