But on trying to re-encode ar 448kbps using VirtualDub using the AC3 ACM Codec at 3/2Channels, I get the following error message:

But while using the same at 2 channels, I can get it to work... Anything more than 2 doesn't work..

With AviDemux, I can get the 6 channels, but at a maximum of 320 kbps... What am I doing wrong??

  3. I'm pretty sure VirtualDub only handles stereo audio. You would have to set AC3 ACM to downmix to 2 channels.

and yeah any idea as to why AviDemux only supports AC3 upto 384 kbps?? Is there any way to get it to work at 448kbps??
