    Hiya, i need to edit bits out of a video and i get this error when i open it. after pressing okay i notice that the audio and video are out of sync. please help.

    The warning tels you what the problem is.
    You may have to re encode video to get audio in sinc.
    DVD usualy does not like VBR audio, it should be CBR at recommended bitrate or higher.

    Another option is avidemux, which usually handles audio better in my experience

    Save the audio as a .wav file and use that as your input. Usually takes care of the problem.
