    Hi guys

I'm new to all this so be gentle please!

I've recently got a new TV witch can display 1080i and an Xbox 360 hooked up to it. When I've been downloading stuff I've generally been getting avis and the such and using Transcoder360 to play them, but I want a bit more quality now. A couple of the files I've downloaded are iso files, from which I gather is a container rather than an actual video file type.

What I would like to do is get the films of these isos, in the best possible quality to enjoy on my shiny new TV! And while I'm here, I have a random mkv file. I tried to follow a guide on here but got a bit lost. Any tips for these too?

    Thanks in advance

    Matt

If you want best quality get a HTPC! or just download high resolutoin wmv/vc1 videos for you xbox 360. Converting will always decrease the video a bit.

You must extract the content from the iso files to be able to convert. Use for example isobuster, daemon tools, etc. Then convert with tools like Videora Xbox360 Converter, AutoMKV using high bitrate and you wont lose that much quality.

Have you also tried tversity to stream to your xbox? Maybe better quality than transcode360.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

I've got TVersity as well. For whatever reason, both Transcode360 and TVersity occaisonlly don't want to work with a particular file, I generally find the other one will.

Right, I've got the gist of what you mean, so I've opened my image in Isobuster, and clicked on where it says ISO in a little red box. Now, do I extract both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS?

EDIT : got past this bit now!

Aha! Now the question is when I've extracted the Video foler, it's obviously all come as seperate VOB files. If I put these through Videora, will it join them as one in one wonderful unison?

It doesn't actually "join" the vob files...it extracts the video/audio into a single file.
