I just bought a new 32 inch samsung LCD TV (LN-S3241D) and Im trying to hook it up to my comp...but the resolution on my comp only goes up to 1280 X 1024 but I think the resolution has to go up to 1360 X 768 in order for it to show up on my new widescreen TV. I have a Dell Dimension 3000 and theres no graphics card or anything. Am I just out of luck or is there a way to up the resolution without having to buy a graphics card or any othe hardware?

Have you tried telling your PC about the TV ? Once the graphics card realises what it is feeding, the range of resolutions should change to match the TV.

The TV has a VGA in-put just like the back of a normal computer monitor. So its not like im out-putting through a s-video cable or something like that....im plugging my vga cable directly from my comp to the tv. So even if my comp were to notice a difference in monitors, i wouldnt be able to see anything to even change it.
