I converted my avi to mpeg with TMPGEnc, and I now have
a movie.m2v,, and a movie.wav file.
Do I need to burn both of these?
Thanks

Hello,
You can either use tmpgenc to multiplex the two together into 1 mpeg (file-mpeg tools - multiplex).
Or if you have tmpgenc dvd author it will accept both seperately and merge them for you while you author your dvd.

I tried to multi plex and I got an error when I try to add the
.wav file. "Multiplexing Linear PCM stream to ststem stream is not
supported"
Do I need to convert the wav file?
Thanks -
You cannot mulitplex video with wav audio. You can multiplex video with MP2 audio as well as AC-3 audio but not with wav audio.Originally Posted by Dantart
However just about any decent DVD Authoring program will import your video and audio files without the need to first multiplex them into a single file.
You need to look in the tool sectin under DVD Authoring. There is a list of software that you can use.
Here is a link to the area I am talking about: CLICK HERE
As you can see there are many choices but one of the more popular choices, already mentioned, is TMPGEnc DVD Author ... it is the program I use and I can't praise it enough.

Thanks for the info, I got it converted to .ac3. However, NERO is not allowing imy mpeg to burn due to a "compliance error". How do I get around that?
Thanks -
However a 16-bit 48k Stereo PCM WAV audio file is a standard DVD audio format. Granted a lot of people use MP2 or AC-3 because it takes less space but you can use PCM WAV audio.Originally Posted by bunyip

You will need to give us a lot more details such as the exact msg you get from NERO along with how you encoded your video and audio etc.Originally Posted by Dantart

I encoded the .avi file with TMPGEnc which reulted in a .m2v file and a.wav file. I converted the .wav to .ac3 with BeSweet. I multiplexed the two together with TMPEGenc which reulted in a mpeg file. I then used Nero Burining Rom 6 to try and burn the mpeg to DVD. I received an error that
stated
"DVD- video Files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be
unplayable. Do you want to contunue?
I continued, however the burn was unsuccessful.
Thanks -
Sorry but we need more details than that such as HOW did you use TMGPEnc? Did you use the WIZARD mode and if so what template? What resolution and bitrate? Things like that.Originally Posted by Dantart

Field Order - Bottom field first (Field B)
Aspect Ratio - 4:3 525line (NTSC, 704x480)
Video Movie
720x480 29.97 fps / 48000 HZ Stereo
Average video Bitrate 7998
File size - 1166.42 MB
