I converted my avi to mpeg with TMPGEnc, and I now have
a movie.m2v,, and a movie.wav file.
Do I need to burn both of these?
Thanks

Hello,
You can either use tmpgenc to multiplex the two together into 1 mpeg (file-mpeg tools - multiplex).
Or if you have tmpgenc dvd author it will accept both seperately and merge them for you while you author your dvd.

I tried to multi plex and I got an error when I try to add the
.wav file. "Multiplexing Linear PCM stream to ststem stream is not
supported"
Do I need to convert the wav file?
Thanks -

You need to look in the tool sectin under DVD Authoring. There is a list of software that you can use.
Here is a link to the area I am talking about: CLICK HERE
As you can see there are many choices but one of the more popular choices, already mentioned, is TMPGEnc DVD Author ... it is the program I use and I can't praise it enough.

Thanks for the info, I got it converted to .ac3. However, NERO is not allowing imy mpeg to burn due to a "compliance error". How do I get around that?
Thanks -

I encoded the .avi file with TMPGEnc which reulted in a .m2v file and a.wav file. I converted the .wav to .ac3 with BeSweet. I multiplexed the two together with TMPEGenc which reulted in a mpeg file. I then used Nero Burining Rom 6 to try and burn the mpeg to DVD. I received an error that
stated
"DVD- video Files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be
unplayable. Do you want to contunue?
I continued, however the burn was unsuccessful.
Thanks -
