Remuxing question

Hi to whoever reads this post,

I just have a question on how to effectively remux, in my case, a CCE encoded file back into the VOB set of the DVD. I tried by using IfoEdit 0.95 with the VOB Extras option and it seems to work well.

But when I open it up in PowerDVD and WinDVD, the first chapter seems to work fine, but when I watch the others stuttering occurs or it just pauses and doesn't play on.

Any help will be appreciated, btw, the DVD I'm doing is MIB2. I want to presevere everything on the DVD so I only compressed the main movie video.

did you do an ifoupdate cause you encoded the main vobs ?

Would that seem necessary?

Cause even playing the newly created vobs in PowerDVD or WinDVD searching or going to a set point in the file would cause stuttering or speed up and audio out of synch.

I would really love for a solution. Would it have to do with the CCE setting of Close GOPS and Restrict the Auto I-Frames stuff, cause I did not have those two options ticked. Also the N/M or whatever was set to 3 and 4 respectively.

Just in addition...

The stuttering and speed up seems just to happen after about 6 mins into the movie, or the beginning of Chapter 2.

I have not tried running the file, though, from start to end to see if the audio sync is a problem and stuttering arises. I think it only occurs when u advance by chapters and manual searching.

This is really annoying! I really want a working file so I can burn it!

why dont you try ifoupdate cause it realigns all the chapters.

maybe that is the problem as it only starts happening as you hit chapter 2.
