  1. I recently bought a new leadtek winfast a250 le td myvivo 128mb videocard.

Now I have been trying to capture something for a couple of days now but i keep getting the same error message over and over again.

It says that a capture device was not detected. I have tried Winfast PVR, VirtualDUB and some other capturing programs but all give the same error.

Am i doing something wrong here? I've installed the latest NVidia WDM Drivers on a clean windows 2000 as well as a windows xp system. Nothing but that same error?

Anybody else that can help me out here? Maybe i need to install some other driver i might have forgotten?

Please help me out, because otherwise i'll bring the card back to the shop.

  2. I just purchased that same card and the manual states "To use WinFast My Vivo, you must first open MyVivo before running another media application with video-capturing capability. Any such application that is opened first takes charge of the input video; other applications cannot be used to display or capture the video input"
I hope this helps, let me know how it works, I want to try and use this for my captures if it does a decent job, did not want to have to buy an additional capture card. I haven't tried the card yet, got a bad mobo and had to send it back.

  3. The card only works with the software provided. Beside the WDM driver, you can capture with the Leadtek capture software. However, you can only capture in MPEG-1 & MPEG-2 format only and the capture quality is horrible(MPEG-1 even high bitrate).
