I have one question. I am wondering if I will get in the package contents of this tv card also adapter for s-video and composite video. I need this component for capturing video from my old VHS. So is this adapter part of package that I get if I buy this tv tuner? If you do not know what im talking about I m pasting following link with this adapter:

thanks a lot and have a nice day
p.s.:If you confirm me in my way of understanding what should I get in the package, I will buy this tv tuner, especially for turning my VHS tapes in digital DVD and for watching and recording analog TV channels. In order to capture VHS I ve already bought cable scart - 6x cinch, but I dont know how to connect audio cinch (left, right) to tv tuner. The latter - as far as I know - has audio in connector, but how could I plug to cinch in this connector?
I am confused so please help me as quich as possible....

"Mini DIN 6-pin connector for Composite and S-Video input" -
Thank you Bjs for quick answer - yes I visited this page, but I was not sure if this 6 pin connector is just port on the card or is with this meant a short cable (adapter I suppose) with CVBS and S-video connector

Just about every capture card comes with one these, it's necessary to save space on the back of the computer. They all have what appears to be a S-Video connector but its in fact for the adapter. Generally they are made for that particualr capture card so the manufacturer has to include it.
I've had one Winfast product in the past, it included the adapter, software etc. Generally you can expect to get everthing you need to go from capture to completed DVD except for the burner of course. -
thank you very much thecoalman, you helped me a lot with this answer....
maybe somebody knows the answer on my subquestion from the first post?

Hey, I bought this tv card then I plug it in PCI slot, install drivers and software.... I can capture now from my VCR through CVBS cable and I can watch cable television on my computer. Everything good so far without problems. But now when I want to record some video I am not sure what exactly to do. This card enables hardware mpeg2 encoding (as well as hardware DVD encoding that is actually the same thing). So I chose mpeg2 hardware encoding and the file I got was mpeg file with some specific characteristics (720x576, 6000 kbits/s, 25 fps, ...).... If I choose other way I can capturing in DVD hardware encoding mode that also results in mpg file with similar characteristics as previous file (the difference in bitrate - 4500 kbits/s). Then I took DVD authoring tool - TMPGENc DVD author 3 with DIvX authoring to make DVD video. It takes a lot of time to author DVD and then finally to burn DVD video to disc.
So I am wondering why the hell this DVD authoring tool has to trancode the mpg video again - The way I understand the whole thing is that mpg file (compressed with mpeg2 codec) just has to be put in new vob container and there is no need to transode the video again and again.... (DVD format is actually one of mpeg2 formats like SVCD for example)
Then another thing I want to ask you is huffyuv codec that I installed on my computer. I tried this codec with virtual dub as well as Virtual VCR but there must be something wrong. I cant capture any video and the system is breaking down - I get error message that this program has to be closed....
so I would like to know why I cant use huffyuv codec...
I have DualCore Athlon 2,3 GHz 4400+ processor and OS Windows XP SP2, so computer is powerful enough to deal with this compression tool
