    hello,

I trying to convert my first DVD to DVD-R. First, I used smartripper, but there were alot of programs with different length. The entire movie is around 3 1/2 hours longs. I was confused with how to pick which programs to rip. I saw the guide in this forum to use dvd2avi and rempeg2 for vob's larger than 4.5 gibs. When I get my .m2v and .wav files from the dvd2avi, how do I convert them back to vob. How do I create a new .ifo files for the new vobs? Am I on the correct path?

Yes, I am a newbie to this type of conversion.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated,

    Rage

  2. First, read all of the guides on this site and doom9.org. Which movie is it?
I personally use DVDDecrypter to rip the movie to the HD. After that use Ifoedit to strip the streams. If the movie is under 4.3 you're fine, just burn. If it's over, then use CCE or rempeg.
