    Downloaded movies from the internet... transfered movies to VCD with TPEG and nero...

    during playback, more often than not towards the second half of the disc.. everything freezes.....once in awhile for probably 10 seconds.

    Ideas?

    The same thing happened to me on a stand alone DVD player and it got better after I cleaned the lens, you can get a lens cleaner at any electronic store.

    What is your player? With Philips DVD players a firmware update helps.

    You may or may not fix this problem, use the best quality disks like Maxell or TDK and use a VCD template with TMPGEnc

    second half of the disc
    On disk 2 ? or do you have 1 movie on 1 disk joined ?
