  1. Hello

I recently had enough problems with ECDC 5, that I decided to use Nero to burn my VCD's.

    But...

I seem to have noticed that thye VCD's burned with Nero do not look as good as the ones burned with ECDC 5....
The VCD's I've burned with Nero looked more "blocky"...(I'm not sure if I'm using the right expression here)

    Is this possible...?
    Has anyone else noticed this..?
Can I do something about this problem...?

    Thank you for your help

I presume you are talking about encoding and burning, not just burning. If you burn any VCD-compliant mpg with any VCD burning software, this will not make the picture quality suffer. The short advice, if you are using these progs to encode, is don't. Use one of the guides here to encode using TMPG, then burn with Nero.

    Good plan!
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Yes I agree with you, I already use TPMG to encode the mpg-1 's and then I burn them using Nero.

But as I said before, I still seem to notice that the VCD's I make with Nero look more "blocky" than the ones I made with ECDC 5.

Is there a setting in Nero I should be looking at to fix this problem..?
I am using the authoring with Nero 5.5+ instructions provided by this site.

    Thanks
