I am encoding DivX and XVid files. I have the choice to encode in Mpg or H263. Simple question, which is better and why?

H.263 is a videoconference (lower bitrate) solution. MPeg can be many things. DivX and XVid are separate codecs.Originally Posted by AnakinRecommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I think he's talking about xvid quantization and the choice of mpg vs. h.264
