I am encoding DivX and XVid files. I have the choice to encode in Mpg or H263. Simple question, which is better and why?

H.263 is a videoconference (lower bitrate) solution. MPeg can be many things. DivX and XVid are separate codecs.

Yes, I am aware they are seperate codecs...

Both have an option for either mpg or h263, what I am lookin at, is, which one to use.
