    Hello,

I have a whole bunch of VOB files in 4:3 format (over 1000!) that I need to convert to 16:9 - I know how to do this now (thanks to this forum) using DVD Patcher. But this utility is a one-at-a-time deal. What I would really love is something that would allow me to batch process these files.

So, is there a way of running DVDPatcher in batch mode, maybe via a DOS batch file perhaps using command line parameters? Or is there another utility which would do this for me?

If there is nothing for VOB files I could use something like Streamclip to batch convert all the VOBs to MPGs first and then maybe use another utility to batch process the Aspect Ratio of the MPG files?

    Any help gratefully accepted.

    Regards,

The only way that I have been able to successfully do this was with VideoRedo. When saving, you can go into the options screen and set the defaults for video output. One of the options is the aspect ratio. If you set the aspect ratio to 16:9, you can batch convert the files (and run QuickStream Fix).

Yes indeed. Can you, or anybody, confirm whether this procedure is indeed lossless (no re-encoding) just like the cuts? I would assume so due to the speed at which it's done - a quick change of the PAR flag and that's it. But still not 100% sure on this. (And I don't get the Bit Rate changing either...)
I hate VHS. I always did.
