Top of the food chain for lossless editing codecs. Really, really fast. Do the features satisfy all of your requirements?

For which editor? Aspect HD costs $499 and is overkill for HDV.

    - Vegas 6/7/8 ships with a basic Video for Windows Cineform codec that works fine.
    - Neo HDV works with most editors and costs $249 list. Advantage is direct capture to Cineform and a more efficient (space/time/quality) version of the codec.

Thanks guys. edDV suggested NEO HDV in our previous thread and I discovered I have access to Aspect HD. So, clearly, I should use that? Overkill? Opinions on what to shoot (i.e. 50i, CF24 etc. with a Z1U) and feed to Aspect for the best film look are appreciated. (Yes, I'm still flogging that topic.)

Film look has to do with 1) Lighting 2) Depth of Field 3) Frame Rate 4) Color Grading and visual look of the film - grain.

If you have access to Aspect HD use it but if you are buying new, Neo HDV is all you need.
