    Hi,

I wonder if I extract the contents from a MKV with MKVExtractGUI and put those back into an OGM, should the file sizes be the same? The OGM files seem to be a bit bigger in size by some megabytes. Maybe just how each container interprets it or something? Not much of a problem, but just wondering. I haven't done any conversions, I just took exactly what I extracted from the MKV and muxed them in an OGM. I'm using VirtualDubMod to mux them. Or is this normal?

  2. Different containers have slightly different overheads.

Ah ok, thought so. I was also wondering if there is a better OGM muxer to use than VirtualDubMod. I am looking for something that can name the audio streams mostly instead of showing, "unknown" or "undetermined."

  4. I believe VirtualDubMod's OGM handling is quite outdated. I don't know about naming streams but you might try AviDemux.

Actually, I think it works okay enough for OGMs... I don't think any specifics for OGM have been updated since VDubMod was last updated, but I could be wrong.

As for naming streams... I don't know, either. :/

I tried avidemux, but it doesn't allow me to add ogg audio for some reason.
