Greetings,
I am curently trying to get a Dazzle DVC170 (AKA: Dazzle "Video Creator Platinum") to work on multiple systems.
On every system I have the same issue. The video signal shows up as solid black.
When I use the Pinnacle software, the video works fine, but I have no intention of using this capture device with their software. And all other applications only see the input source as black.
I've confirmed that the video signal is fine (both RCA and S-Vid) on multiple systems (AMCap, Capture Flux, Resolume, etc), so it all comes down to the DVC170...
I've spent the last 3 hours searching all over the interweb hoping to find some form of help, but every search has dead-ended.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I've even gone as far as to seach other hardware stores nearby to find other USB capture devices, but every store only seems to have devices manufactured by Pinnacle, and given that the DVC170 is only functioning properly when using their proprietary software, I'm shying away from them.
Thanks in advance for any help!
/Chris
