I have a video input card (MPG-1040 with Vweb's VW2010 chip) that does not like Black and White signals (OEM - iPAC - is out of business, so can't ask them). The behavior I see is that if I connect a color signal and hit START on the application, it works ... and if I switch the feed from color to B&W, it continues to work ... but if I start it with a B&W vide signal from the beginning, it won't capture the signal (seems like color 'primes' it to work). Someone suggested that maybe using a Time Domain Corrector (TDC) to add in the sync and burst signals to the B&W signal would work. Thinking of buying a ~$500 TBC-1000 from "dataVideo), or its PCI card equivilent, that should do this. Anyone's thoughts?
