Greetings to the Forum,
I've been lurking here for almost a year and whatever successes I've had in the video arena are due in large part to all the participants here, particularly Lord Smurf.
Per his recommendations at digitalFAQ, I set my old AIW on my old machine to capture analog VHS to 352X480 with great success. When I built my new machine I used the same settings with the new AIW 2006. It's worked fine for about a month, but for some reason in the past few days, it's doubling the width to 960. I've been playing with the settings and doing tests for the better part of today and checking the results with gspot, and it's always the same. Finally I edited my capture settings to 352X240. When I check the resulting file with gspot, it comes back at 352X480.
Anybody have any thoughts as to where I should look in the settings to avoid this issue. Damned if I can find it, either in ATI MMC or in the Catalyst "control center". Maybe I should mention that I have a 19" wide-screen monitor. I have "Aspect Ratio" set to "Auto". Should also mention that this issue crops up whether I'm recording from the tuner or the line in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
