I have some MKVfiles that I wish to edit the subtitles or take them out totally. They are tracks, but its so horrid I wish to manually correct them.
Is there any tools or editor I can use to open/edit, extract?

Use mkvextract to extract them, then edit them with whatever and use mkvmerge to remux them.
