  1. Ive updated my ffmpegX to the 0.0.9x version

I downloaded the three components and added them to the ffmpegX folder in applications including the mpeg2enc.intel file which for somereason has a Excel icon

I then opened ffm and it asked where the three compoments were and I directed it.

it seems that each time I open it it asks for the directions to mencoder and mplayer which haven't moved from that ff folder I made in apps

however on opening ffm and adding my pesky .ts file (h264) this newwer version acutally does something but not much. the older ffmpegX frin sept 2005 did nothing but think about it for ever.

this one is lighting fast but I don't think did anything and I got this message after looking around:

    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libvorbis.0.dylib
    Referenced from: /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/mencoder
    Reason: image not found
Encoding started on Wed Nov 15 12:53:18 EST 2006

any ideas on whats next? Doom?

The downloaded binaries can reside on your desktop until the Components Self-Installer copies them to their special place. After that, you may delete the downloaded files. The installer also makes mpeg2enc a Unix executable when copying, so the icon is unimportant.

On launching ffmpegX, it checks the version/filesize of the binaries in /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/. If they are not right or not there, the app will ask for them again. Try downloading mencoder/mplayer again. The zip archive should be 14.4 MB (15119081 bytes), with mencoder 16655780 bytes and mplayer 15869784 bytes. Remember to log in as Administrator when installing.

No idea on your error message, tho'.
