    Hello,
After capturing the video from my camcorder (Panasonic GS300), the quality of the video is not good. Every time that there is movement on screen, it covered with thin stripes horizontally.
When the the video is still it looks OK.
I tried viewing with different players but all show the same result.
    Thank's for the help.

That's Interlacing. What you are seeing are the ODD and EVEN fields interacting with eachother.
Search for the subject as there is alot to learn abuut it. I am not expert so I cannot tell exactly why you may be seeing it on your screen. On thing I know is that it will probably not be apparent once viewed on the TV set.

It might be something on the interlaced / uninterlaced settings while you were transfering to the PC.

    in short:

It's normal. Don't worry about it. If your destination is DVD then it can stay just how it is.
Otherwise you may want to de-interlace.

Try playing it with a software player that can properly handle interlaced video and you may have a better idea how it will look on a TV. VLC is one that comes to mind.

  6. In VLC: Video -> Deinterlace -> BOB. Try the other options too.

Yes, this is working but not with "BOB" (the video is not running smoothly, it looks like it is "shivering"). The best option is "Blend".
Another thing is that there is a message in the beginning that "the video is broken".
    Any ideas ?

  8. I believe the BOB deinterlace in VLC assumes top-field-first video, but DV AVI is normally bottom-field-first. There doesn't seem to be any way to override it.

I have no ideas about the "broken" message.
