  1. after loading a mkv file to vdub mod i get an error saying "only handle [s_text] subs for the moment" is there another program or way to convert the video file? i want it to avi

    When you first run VDubMod you get a popup warning that its mkv support is out of date. It suggests mkvtoolnix, which would be my suggestion to. It is basically the reference matroska software. You might also want to check out mkvextractgui to make extracting streams easier.

    And besides, it just won't convert the subs. Save As AVI should still work.

  4. umm is there anyway to add the subs? because vdub mod doesnt support idx.

  6. can you convert the subs and then some how open it with vdubmod and then create the avi?

    VDubMod doesn't support muxing subs to avi at all. Only mkv and ogm. If you want to mux subs to an avi, you would need to use AVI-Mux GUI and you need to OCR the vobsubs with say SubRip first.
