I'm in XP Pro, using Nero Burning Rom 7, with an NEC CD/DVD+RW ND2100AD burner on my Dell PC.
I've been using this burner for about two years and the CD-Rs are the brand "Verbatim" which I have never had trouble with before. I'm half way through the spindle and all of the CDs have been fine. Every time I burn a Data CD or a game it has been fine and worked fine in my computer. BUT, just recently, everytime I burn an Audio CD, there are skips in the songs (which sound and work fine as mp3s on my computer) and also within the first second of the song (on the burnt CD) the audio gets from really quiet to normal in the first two seconds of the song. I tried the CDs on different CD Players and in different cars and it happens on all of them, so its not my CD players.
What could this be and what else should I test?
