  1. Hi guys,

    I need some help!!!

I've got a 90 min film project saved in AVID and I've been exporting it as an .ISO file to my hard drive, I then burn it to DVD using the 'burn from video file' setting in AVID and burn it at the lowest speed (4x) on to a Memorex 16x 4.7GB DVD. Every time I burn it I am getting skips and freezes in the playback. I'm having a nightmare here and I'm running out of ideas!

I've tried creating a completely new .ISO file of the same project, I've changed the DVDs I use and I've even tried it on a different burner, and I'm still having issues. I watched a DVD of the full film last night on my DVD player and it played all the way through perfectly, but this morning when I tried playing it on my laptop it has been skipping and freezing and going out of synch. It is now doing the same on both the DVD player and laptop. The only other thing I can think of to try is to export it as a video_ts file rather than and .ISO file and then burn, but I have a feeling it won't make much difference. Any other ideas?

I'm guessing this avid program outputs the required VIDEO_TS folder inside the .ISO image?
If so....burn the .ISO with ImgBurn...and for gods sake stop buying Memorsux discs.

  3. Thanks for that! Have downloaded imgburn and will let you know how it goes. Are memorex DVDs really that bad??? If so, what DVDs would you recommend?
