    i have a movie with audio codec MEDIA_SUBTYPE_DTS (0x2001) Dolby Laboratories, Inc

    i try to convert the audio to mp3 layer with Virtaeldub but always the same message

    No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format. (source format tag : 2001)

    he can't open the move i try and i install all codecs i can found in the net with the same result

    plz help

    check guide, threads etc on converting dts to mp3. If you want to use V/Dub, might have better luck converting to wav first. You'll also probably find it helpful reading about muxing/demuxing.

    First, you need to install a software player that supports DTS playback, such as some versions of PowerDVD. Then I would use virtualdub only to demux the audio track so you have a standolne DTS file. Then I would look at hypercube transcoder for converting the DTS to something else.

    nah thank u but i try nothing work i just wonna to convert the avi coz i can't play it in my dvd player before i convert ac3 and others with V/D and so easy but this one good he drive me crazy and i have only that file of a rare movie , plz is there is some soft or way , i try to make .wav file and it work then i try to conver it to mp3 or real wav but same damn thing no filter
