Just noticed yesterday that I could not access DVDDecrypter's website.
Is it down for maintenance or something?
Can anyone access the website?
Any other ideas?

If you need to download dvd decrypter, you can click on one of the mirror sites.
-
he might be looking to see if there is a new version out yet
-
ja!
I was just checking yesterday to see if there was an update, but no site available.....
the mirrors only have the version I currently have."To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright

no need,i believe the site is down for a restyle, and rehash.
there was a message on the site saying he had to change it,so its that i guess.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -
yeah he did say he needed to change the site around.
but he already did it.
If you visited the sight in the past few weeks you would notice a few of the differences.
I am an acitve member in those forums and so I was trying to log on but nothing was happening.
I though that sure, he is doing some maintenance and it will be fixed in like a day or so.
But it has been down for three days now.
Yeah, definetly go to RED ALERT. maybe. -
there will be a lot of very unhappy people if there is no more updates including me. please just let it be down for maintenance

When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months. -
theres a topic about it on afterdawn, and one site guy says they will be back shortly.
but no,i guess the site wasnt changed the way the "bad people" as lightning called them, wanted it to be.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -
Well, in DD you can have it check for updates & I did, says there is an update, but can't get to it.
-
I don't know why he was so scared of the "bad people". I'd have told them to piss off. They were demanding things they had no right to demand (you cannot "own" design concepts like that).

Well that freeking sucks about DECRYPTER being bullied by some movie studio.

Just read the article on 'CD Freaks' website, looks like 'Sony' may have something to do with this ?
So when a new copy protection system comes out looks like we are going to be stuffed ?
A very sad day for all concerned ! -

I cannot help but wonder if the Netflix/BlockBuster subscriptions will drop in the next few months now
(I mean, if you can't rip 'em, well, you can still download 'em completely free off the 'net at places, and NO ONE will get a dime out of your effort...)
At least with the rippin' going on from DVD rentals there's some money getting back to the studios... no?
(Considering the one Matrix DVDs was available to download about five weeks before I could rent the DVD, mebbe someone isn't paying attention to what effect this could have...)
Dunno... Maybe this is the wrong question, but... When's the last time you watched a DVD?
It's hard to buy something that bores you to sleep...
Dunno, like I said, with it being easier/cheaper to download than to rent anyway, I think this will be a negative...
DVD rental subscriptions are gonna drop though...

What a bunch of cocks. Instead of sanitizing the software, they insist on killing it? I agree, corporate control is getting out of hand. They should not have the right. The rest of the software is out of the jurisdiction, just cull the decss stuff.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I agree with you Lordsmurf, why kill off the whole program, when you could just remove one feature.
It would still be a very useful tool with the decryption section disabled.
Maybe LIGHTNING UK can provide a different version without the decrypter ? Who knows ?
Or maybe they shafted him BIG TIME -
DVDDecrypter site is no longer going to be up. he was shut down by some movie company. read for more info
