Windows XP Pro is stuck at the windows xp boot screen, The scrolling line goes than stops than goes than stops. I can boot in safe mode but i see no hardware conflicts. System restore doesnt help. any ideas?

Might be a video prob if you can boot in Safe but not in Normal.

Have you tried VGA mode? It usually lists what it's loading so you may be able to pinpoint what's crashing it.

Start in Safe Mode, right click on your C: Drive, and choose the "check now" button under "tools". It will probably tell you to restart to run CHKDSK, so reboot in regular mode. The Chkdsk can take a long time in this case. Let it all run - give it up to 1 hr to boot. Seriously.
