Is it possible to import an Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 Project made on Windows ( i.e. a .prproj file + .avi files) into Final Cut Pro on the Mac?
I've copied the project ( about 100Gb ) onto my Mac hard drive in preparation, but now I need to know if this is possible.
The .prproj file is XML. This means that potentially it can be parsed and converted but is there a feature in Final Cut Pro to do this?

Premiere Pro CS5 has the ability to export XML. Check the Export menu in your version. If you can, then you just select File ---> Import --> XML in FCP.
Also, FCP might tell you that the AVIs aren't "optimized for Final Cut Pro", but in my experience, if your project is set up to the codec of your AVI files (example: DV-NTSC), then you shouldn't have a problem.Last edited by DirectorSG; 6th Sep 2010 at 13:53. Reason: Additional information
