  2. I have some of those tools but I am not clear of the procedure on how you save the wav file using virtualdub. Do u save it as a wav file or .wav or .ac3 .mp3 (all files) in order to be able to convert. This I tried and it did not work. The response was no codec available like I mentioned before.

Is your video clip from a DVD or an avi with ac3 audio? If its the latter you may need to run it through AC3Fix first.......

.....as for HeadAC3he..it a great conversion tool BUT ensure you have ALL the .dll's for your system or you'll never get it to work....get them here (you may need to turn off any add blockers/firewalls/proxies to get in if you just get a few +'s....)

  4. I think it's from a dvd since the resampling rate is that of a dvd

  8. Forgive me monzie for rocking your boat this is because I am new at all this and it doesn't come as second nature like to some, that's why I said I suppose it must be as the resampling was 48000hz. What would that imply?

We all start as newies OK (me too about a year ago).........but you must know what your source is... is it from a rip ie a (read your) DVD or an avi (read you downloaded it)?...so which is it?

  10. Well I looked at Gspot and avi codec and there is no reference to dvd rip even though the resampling is 48000 hz which I thought was only used with DVDs so let's say it's an avi.
