Hey guys,
I have this very strange problem. I recently bought a new Sony Vaio K-Series PCG-K27 and it comes with a DVD+-R/RW Dual Layer Drive. So on my desktop, I've been using DVD Shrink and Nero to copy DVD's onto DVD+R's (which is what I always use). So I installed the 2 programs on to my new notebook and tried burning. Everything worked exactly like it should, BUT after 100% burning with the DVD Shrink, it pops up an error claiming that it cannot complete the "disc-at-once" process. But later I tried to use a DVD-R and it burnt fine. I've already wasted about 7 DVD+R's trying to figure this out. I tried burning with Shrink and then Nero by itself as well. I'll post the log I got below. I was just wondering, does anyone know what's wrong? (Oh, and yes I have checked, my drive CAN burn both +R's and -R's. Also there are no driver updates for my DVD-drive and nothing more I can really update at all... I've already called Sony and they say not to use any programs but their own... so I hung up on them...)

Hi MYSTiCKWARLOCK.
You could try updating Nero to its latest version.
Also make sure not to multi-task while burning, and to free as much memory as possible.

Re-install the Nero Burning ROM. If that wont help then delete IDE controller via device manager and reboot your system.
-
Or flash your burner. I had similar problems, and once I flashed/upgraded it, it worked fine.
