when I look at the avi file all picture seems to be longer (vertically). It is clearly seen in the people heads. What can be a reason and how to get rid of it?
I use avermedia ezdvdmaker capture card into P4, 256 memory, virtualdub or vegas ( both give this effect).

Was it recorded in 16:9(widescreen) format? If so you need software that supports 16:9.

it was 4:3.
additional info - it does not happen on all tapes. tapes were recorded from video camera, may be it matters?Izzy Katz -
