  1. I was using the MSI K8T800(VIA chipset) motherboard and my Liteon combo drive(48X CD-R/16X DVD) and I could rip flawlessly using DVDshrink.

    I reformatted and switched to the MSI K8N Platinum motherboard(Nforce 3-250gb chipset), and now this drive will not rip under DVDshrink. I get a "this disc is copyrighted" message. My other drive(NEC 2510A) rips just fine, but it only rips at 2X speed so I'd like to have the liteon ripping again.

    All help is appreciated.

    Your IDE interface is screwed up. You may not be DMA mode.
    And I got that when I swapped motherboard, did not change HD out.
    I had to manually alter my XP paging file.

    All that fixed it.
