  1. Right, to my previous post about audio delay, i managed to fix the out of sync part within the video, so now its all fine and looks as near good as it can be.......but now i come up with another problem, when i burned it to a dvd disc and played it on my dvd player, the audio sync seems to happen again just after a part in the video where it seems to stutter.........but this did not happen when i viewed it in powerdvd, i burned the copy 3 times and it done the same at exactly the same part....... Now is this because its possibly a bad frame ? but if that was the case, then why didnt it happen when i played it back on my computer ? im confused with this one so any help would be much appriciated !! thanx

  2. What bitrate did you encode with?

My guess is that it may have been too high.

This isn't the only possible reason for the symptoms you describe, but it is the first thing I would check.

Your player may not be able to read enough data off the disk before the buffer runs out.

    Arky ;o)

Using Power DVD, If you right click in the main window, when playing a movie, you should see an option "show information", this will tell you what you need to know, Audio/Video type/bitrate etc.

  6. 3 things in the above information worth a mention...

    Bit Rate : 2.48Mbps

This is a bit low for DVD, but shouldn't cause any problems...

Number of Audio channels : 6
    Bit Rate : 192.00 Kbps

192 kbps divided by 6 channels = 32 Kbps per channel, which is BAD, the bitrate needs to be at least 384 Kbps

    Source picture resolution : unknown = 4

Knowing this would be useful... 8)

Yes, the audio bitrate is too low for 6 channels, as for 480x576?, that isn't a compilant DVD resolution, if it works in your stand-alone player, then thats purely by chance... For PAL use either 720x576 (MPEG2), 704x576(MPEG2), 352x576(MPEG2) or 352x288(MPEG1 at 1700kbps).

Just to clarify, are you burning to CDR's or DVD's

  9. so if it works on mine? thats not to say that it will work on all other DVD players ? it also works on my PS2 aswell. and i am burning DVD's not CDR !! when u say its not a complaint resolution ? how do i go about changing that and will i lose any quality ? and as for the sound ? would u suggest i change the bit rate then ? and this may solve the loss of sync once burned to a disc?
