    ok some help please. I saw today on my c: drive a folder named a2cbe8031da6333b2e86bf. I use dvdfab and anydvd is this part of it. Don't dare to delete it unless someone knows.

    It could just be a temp folder left over from an program install. Most any computer has a few of them at the root of the boot drive, some empty. MS leaves them there fairly often. If it's been there a while, you can usually delete it.

    To second what aedipuss said - what files are in the folder?

    I got a few like this ..

    Its listed as an active X control from some downloaded file.

    First of all I would virus scan them before opening, copy to different media and delete. If no problem that's it.
